HR Trucking Driving School is registered as a private career college under Private Career Colleges Act, 2005. We offer AZ Tractor Trailer vocational program, DZ Training Packages.

COURSES OVERVIEW

AZ TRACTOR TRAILER MELT PROGRAM

Duration- 5 Weeks-116 hours (each week 23.4 hours) 


CARGO SECURITY & LOAD DISTRIBUTION

Load securing and safe loading have become a matter of concern for Road Safety Authority and the Health & Safety Authority at present in Ontario, Canada. There are certain things that are needed to be kept in mind before securing a load like the nature and stability of the load.


SKID CONTROL & ACCIDENT AVOIDANCE TRAINING

A comprehensive course in which professional drivers will learn collision avoidance techniques under regular and difficult driving conditions.


AIR BRAKE ENDORSEMENT

A person who drives a vehicle equipped with an air brake system mandatorily has a Z endorsement on his or her driver’s license. Pursuing a career in trucking demands a Class A or Class D Truck driver’s License.


LOG BOOKS & TRIP PLANNING

Long haul commercial motor vehicles must possess electronic logging devices (ELDs) installed that keeps the record of a trucker’s on-duty driving time. Currently, paper log books are mostly used for backup in case of equipment malfunction

PRACTICAL SKILLS

50 Hours: One-on-one, on-road and off-road driving techniques including driving in traffic, backing and parking, defensive driving, and more. 

17 Hours: In yard training including pre & post trip Inspection, coupling & uncoupling

12 Hours: Air brake course

COMPANY REQUIREMENTS

We require all our employees to meet and follow our company policy.
Below are the listed requirements that must be met by all drivers prior to being employed.

  1. Applicants must hold a valid license for the class in which they are hired (i.e. AZ, DZ, and class 1)

  2. Applicants must be a minimum of 21 years of age 

  3. Applicants must provide their drivers abstract, commercial vehicle operator record (CVOR) and background criminal record search. These documents cannot be more than 30 days old. We like to ensure that our applicant's records are clean and they do not have nay previous major convictions (i.e. careless or impaired driving). The documents are provided to us the same day as the applicants are reviewed during their interview. 

  4. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the class of vehicle you are applying for, with a valid certificate from a reputable professional driver training school.

  5. Applicant must be willing and be able to perform various duties, including city driving, and other duties required.

  6. Applicant must be able to get "dangerous goods" certification if required.

  7. Applicants must successfully complete a full road test including a complete circle test.

  8. Applicant must have a neat appearance, have and wear steel toe safety shoes and safety vest. 

  9. HR Temp Services Inc., driver handbook and health and safety policy must be reviewed and understood by the applicant prior to assignment, and documentation of same field.

  10. Applicant must be willing to be tested for controlled substances when required. 

  11. Applicant must be willing to perfom all duties associated with driving a commercial vehicle.
